I'm up for an NYC meetup. I'd suggest the same place in Central Park where we met a few years ago but it's marathon day--will the craziness be done by 3 pm?

amy

Hey! I might be able to make this! :) I'm not far from Ann Arbor. I have no idea if I'll have the kids with me or not.

Jen

You're going to make us hang around outside for a meetup, in November, in Michigan? Thanks a LOT! Siiiiigh. (kidding!)

Moxie

It's better than outside in July in Michigan.

amy

@Jen, eh, who knows? It might be as nice as it is today, which is saying something for late October in Michigan.

Jenn (dish)

Any Pittsburgh readers want to meet? In Pittsburgh of course...not proposing a road trip. :)

Blanche

Anyone in Richmond, VA? I'm open to suggestions since I'm fairly new to the area (I'm close to Chesterfield airport & there's a decent playground near there, but obviously can get pretty much anywhere if there are others more concentrated in the west-end or up north).

You can get to my email through my blog link under "About Me."

Julie

I'd be in for a Portland meetup!

Chantelle

I would love a Auckland , New Zealand meet up! Very unlikely though :(

Jan

Seattle! Seattle!

Dunno where, though. I vote north-ish.

mama bean

Any Canadian readers? Winnipeg area?

pennifer

I'd enjoy doing an SF-Bay Area meetup. Great neighborhood park here in Moss Beach - about 25 minutes south of SF on Hwy 1 OR open to other more centralized suggestions.

Jenn (dish)

If I may be so bold...I just realized there is a perfect meetup location/event in Pittsburgh, but it is on *Saturday* the 3rd, not Sunday. It's free, fun for the kids, and indoors in case the weather goes sour. If Magda doesn't mind, I'd like to propose it as the Pittsburgh location. (I realize the idea is that we're all meeting at the same time...just pretend we're in another time zone maybe?)

Dia de Los Muertos Celebration
Saturday, Nov 3, 2-5pm
Union Project (Highland Park)
(corner of Negley and Stanton)

If anyone wants to attend, contact me. (dishonthis AT gmail DOT com)

Amanda

Twin Cities, MN?

Not sure where a good indoor but free place would be...maybe a mall play area?

Kerry

@chantelle I'd be keen for an Auckland meeting! There must be a few of us around...

Sahar

mama bean, Canada yes, but in Toronto.

MrsHaley

JenDish- another Pittsburgher here! I,ll email you!

Katie

Racine, WI
I'll put on my thinking cap about a location.

Nikki

I would love to do a meetup in Ottawa, Canada. Any takers?

Sue

Tucson, AZ here. Anyone? Anyone? I'd be looking for a park that isn't too open to contain my little ones so I have at least part of a brain to chat. Any part of town works.

Orlando

Jennifer

southern maine anyone? i live in york...

Shoshana

Suffolk County, Long Island, anyone?

Pascha

Amanda, I live in Minneapolis. Is there anyone else in the Twin Cities area?

Karie

I second Orlando! Lots of kid-friendly places here.

Tine

I'm in Minneapolis too! I'd be up for it. Indoors is probably best around here in November, eh? Here are a few suggestions: Midtown Global Market (lots of great food, plenty of room, small play area); Eden Prairie Mall (small play area); any of the Mpls. Park & Rec recreation centers?

I'm open for anything though. And my kids are big enough (6 & 9) that they can be happy just about anywhere.

Jen

Columbus OH. Am I the only one?

Bethany

Central Illinois?

Shonda

I'm in A2 and would love to meet some of you on the 3rd!

Shonda

Sorry--I meant the 4th. A local park sound great.

Daphne

DC area . . . open to venue suggestions; if no suggestions, Marvelous Market at Eastern Market or IKEA cafeteria at the kiddie play area!

kp

North Shore Massachusetts?

MomPlusKid

Calgary, Alberta anyone?

Jenny

St. Louis, anyone?

ARC

JenDish - when did Pittsburgh become cool enough to celebrate Dia De los Muertos?? I grew up there and I can tell you diversity was definitely NOT celebrated at that time :P

Glad to hear things are a-changin'.

berivan

@Pennifer and anyone else in SF/Bay area... I'd be up for trying to join in (will have been out of town until the day before, so no promises just yet). Am in Palo Alto, could travel up or down the peninsula...

Kristen

SF Bay Area - East Bay, but could drive across the bridge

Jac

Victoria, British Columbia? It would be excellent - we moved here over a year ago and I haven't me ANYONE.

mama bean

Uh, Paris, anyone...?

(OK, so perhaps I'm a bit optimistic)

Wilhelmina

London, England? Spirit of great optimism. I'd love to Eurostar to Paris.....but real life intervenes.

songbird

Cleveland, OH. We should plan for the Pittsburgh and Columbus people to all meet. :)

Meghan

Milwaukee... maybe we combine with Chicagoland and meet in Kenosha/Racine?

sue
