But I had to roll around under my neighbor's dusty bed for 20 minutes and got scratched within an inch of my life. The details of what happened are like a Noel Coward play, and I can't manage it in my current state.
This is my philosophy.

I am so glad you found him! One time I thought my cat had gotten out of the apartment, and I cried for hours and hours ... until she came out of her hiding spot under the bathroom cabinet. Whew.

Oh, I'm so glad!!!!
I once lost my indoor only kitty. I'd taken her to the vet that day. By the time my husband got home from work I was in quite a state, crying quite hysterically. My husband found her in the carrier -- I'd never opened the door. I consider it a sign of my husband's amazingness that he doesn't bring this story up daily, as I would!
