Is anyone in the greater Cincinnati area going to be around and want to meet up during the day on Presidents' Day, February 16?
Mat Johnson: Pym: A Novel
So far this book is everything. Like, everything in literature and exploration and culture all taken in and then spit back out like a serrated knife through soft butter.
Steven Gary Blank: The Four Steps to the Epiphany: Successful Strategies for Products that Win
Dense, with valuable ideas on every page.
Douglas Adams: The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Franz Babinger: Mehmed the Conqueror and His Time
Yes, he's reading this huge academic tome. A friend gave it to me, and when I handed it to my son he said, "I've heard a lot about this dude! Cool!" Nerdtastic.
Jeff Kinney: Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Book 1
He's ripping through this one.
Susan Champlin: Fight for Freedom (Cartoon Chronicles of America)

Would love to, but can't! During the day won't work.

I would love to make the trip down 75 from Bowling Green. I may not be able to get out of work. If I can make what ever is planned I'll be there.

I'd love to meet you AND other Ask Moxie readers in Cincinnati!
Posted by: Sara | January 21, 2009 at 08:52 PM
Yay!
You guys pick the place, and I'll be there (without kids). Is downtown a good consensus? And what time works for you guys, work- and napwise? Is noon decent?
I don't know the area at all, so you guys are going to have to do all the choosing.
Posted by: Moxie | January 22, 2009 at 10:20 AM
moxie, do you need to be downtown, or are you able to be flexible about location? i'm racking my brain for the right spot downtown, but our downtown isn't the greatest. there are some good places within a 10 minute drive, bit i don't know if you have access to a car.
Posted by: Katie | January 22, 2009 at 07:58 PM
Downtown works for me - noon works for me, too. Ingredients in the Westin lobby (salads, sandwiches, pizzas)? First Watch on Seventh (breakfast for lunch? SWEET!)? Javier's on Eighth (Mexican loveliness)? Margarita's either in Carew Tower or on Sixth (more Mexican loveliness)? Oh, the possibilities are endless...

Let me know the details and I will try to be there! I'll be coming from Dayton or Springfield, depending on if we are able to move before then or not.
Posted by: Tricia | January 23, 2009 at 03:24 PM
I'll just be returning from vacation but I will definitely do what I can to be there. I second trying to find something away from downtown if we can avoid it. Lunchtime downtown can be a nightmare.
And is this with or without kids? Should I secure a sitter?
Posted by: Valerie | January 26, 2009 at 10:30 PM
Valerie, whenever I meet up with people it turns out to be a mix. People bring their kids and we're happy to have them, but other people get sitters so they can just come and talk. So whatever you want to do!

Cincinnati is also known for having one of the larger collections of nineteenth-century Italianate architecture in the U.S., primarily concentrated just north of Downtown in an area known as Over-the-Rhine

Thanks for your good advice. I agree. The more people, the merrier. More weight makes for a
faster ride. Thanks David, good advice. We're actually already starting to work.

SuchaCaligrrl Posted on They have more tutorials for this video, they just faield to add to the subject title (1 of 4 videos) or however many they made for this tutorial, but they do have them from beginning till the end, you just have to find them and figure which one came first (that will be obvious) and which one is second and so on.

Your presentation at the Temora p/s was woerndful. With all the work (you and) the boys have done it occured to me to ask when will you know you have collected enough money? Your efforts have been able to support/purchase acres of jungle. So, do you know just how many acres will be enough? This is a genuine question as HOW will you/we know if your (an other charities) efforts have worked as you hope to continue on to support other primates? Regards c.
