Can we do Monday night, June 30, at 6 pm? Someone suggested Mi Tierra as a good place. (As long as it's cab-able from the Riverwalk I can get there). I won't have my kids but you can certainly bring yours unless you can pawn them off on someone else. Do we need to make a reservation? Is this place OK? Email me with San Antonio in the subject line and I'll see where we are on this.
Twin Cities, we're still on for Sunday, June 22 from 2-5 at Chutes & Ladders at Hyland Lake Reserve in Bloomington. Bring your kids and sunscreen.
Any chance there are any readers in Winona or Thief River Falls?

I graduated from Winona State...man I miss it there...

I live very near Winona in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Will you be there? (Don't come while it's still raining. The rain, it never stops.)

Ohhh yeah, Mi Tierra. I grew up in Texas and still dream about that restaurant. Be sure to pick up a bag of the cinnamon pastries for breakfast on your way out.

I'll be in Winona, not LaCrosse. Tickets bought, so no choice. I've been following the news of the bridge with interest, though.

Mi Tierra is long-walkable from the Riverwalk (although the walk is a little depressing, as I remember), so it's certainly cab-able. It's also gosh-darn tasty.
It's a rather large restaurant once you get inside and you shouldn't need reservations.

I would love, love, love to be there, but I won't be in San Antonio until Thanksgiving...

I'm soooooo tempted to drive up from Houston.
Hey, and I got my PhD from the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities... so I've got *almost* connections to all your upcoming travel. So close... but so far. :(

Let us know when you're going to be in Winona, and maybe my friend and I can be there. We're both new moms and have really appreciated your blog.

But, uh, if you ever come here, don't come in the winter. You won't like it. So nix November to April, basically. :)

Odd coincidence -- we'll be taking a trip nearby that weekend. BTW, they're reopening the Winona bridge to cars starting Saturday. Make sure to get over to the Trempealeau Hotel in Wisconsin for the walnut burger.

Oh, the walnut burger. You're making me drool. When my cousin had a boat he'd pick us up in Winona and we'd boat to get the burger.
