He is risen!
Mat Johnson: Pym: A Novel
So far this book is everything. Like, everything in literature and exploration and culture all taken in and then spit back out like a serrated knife through soft butter.
Steven Gary Blank: The Four Steps to the Epiphany: Successful Strategies for Products that Win
Dense, with valuable ideas on every page.
Douglas Adams: The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Franz Babinger: Mehmed the Conqueror and His Time
Yes, he's reading this huge academic tome. A friend gave it to me, and when I handed it to my son he said, "I've heard a lot about this dude! Cool!" Nerdtastic.
Jeff Kinney: Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Book 1
He's ripping through this one.
Susan Champlin: Fight for Freedom (Cartoon Chronicles of America)

Happy Easter to those who celebrate!
1. No yoga, still. I've really got to make time somehow.
2. Doing really well on cutting out/back on HFCS.
3. I'm so excited about my shopping trip to Wholefoods yesterday. Not only did I find organic butter and sour cream, but I also found organic, fat-free, LACTOSE-FREE milk for hubby and I!! Oh, and with the organic butter, sour cream, eggs, etc., I made an organic cheese cake to bring to Easter dinner today.
:-)

Good on fruits and veggies
Good on water
Bad on exercise. I feel like I'm becoming atrophied. Yesterday I got a burst of energy and ran outside for a short while, then went to the attic and flattened a bunch of cardboard boxes. LOL!
No sex, but whatever. I will "see to it" soon.

I love wholefoods. I wish we could afford to shop there every week. Last time I bought some organic blue cheese butter. OMG, so good.
I'm doing okay on my goals....though at church this morning I ate too much candy. I'm very glad we've still got 30 days left of the challenge...I need that much time because the past week hasn't been that great for me and I still have hopes of doing better with my exercising and eating.
Happy Easter to all who celebrate it.....and God bless all of us here at Moxie.

alleluia!
it's so easy to drink milk when it's washing down easter candy...mmmm...took my fish oil.
had a hard day yesterday, just felt cranky and out of sorts and wasn't so kind to my husband. i was honest with him throughout, and he didn't take offense, but i still didn't feel great about it. today has been better.
weekends are useless for me for reading or writing. however at this moment i plan to do a little of both!
@caramama- if you have the price club b j s down near you, they have a pretty great selection of organic dairy, haven't seen lactose free organic milk, though. also froz fruits and veggies. also, tar get has great prices on organic milk- on sale this week 1 gal for 6 bucks which i've never found better. it's hard to find good deals on organic- have you looked into local CSA's for the spring/summer? we love ours!

pnuts mama - Thanks for the tips on finding better priced organic dairies. I will check those out (our price club is now cosco). Buying organic is definitely more expensive. If this is going to be a sustainable goal, I need to find less expensive places! Thanks again!

I gave myself the weekend to blow off the no HFCS part of the challenge. Too much Purim candy around. Tomorrow morning anything left is going in the trash. (That is my bargain with my conscience.)
Breakfast is back on track (1/2 bagel with cream cheese, lox and fresh spinach & red onion--all treats, but good!).
And dare I say the flossing seems to be a permanent change for the better. Yay me.

trader joes has cheaper organic milk....the cheapest I've seen anywhere. At Ralphs it's about $6.50 a gallon.....at TJ's I've seen it lower than $6.

My sister just sent me this link about Inflamatory Breast Cancer, and I think it's very important to let as many women as possible know about this little-known and fast spreading form of breast cancer that is not detected through montly breast exams and mammograms. Please watch it when you have time, and pass the link on to all the women you know.

less time on Internet, so so.
exercise, so so.
more water, so so.
(and we've both been ready to do the deed, but the lovely fabulous 2.5-3 y.o. sleep regression is alive & thriving in our home, sigh.) and I'm so tired of tag team parenting.
interviewing the fabulous college student to sit for us tomorrow morning. I feel like I'm trying to impress someone on a first date!
Happy Spring, and happy Easter & Purim.
