Yesterday, did BWO and remembered sunscreen. The wather thing? Well, it was St. Patty's day and an old friend was in town, so I met my goal for Guinness yesterday!

Back to water today though!

1. No yoga, worked late instead. :-(
2. Mostly stayed away from HFCS, including using the new organic ketchup I bought, which also applies to #3.
3. Continue to use the organic fruits and veggies brought by my inlaws (which were grown local to them).

All in all, not bad.

Did better on water.

Again, no cleaning, but I took a nice long walk. Of course, it wasn't very brisk, as I was accompanied by the baby, two three year olds, and a nine year old (nephews in town!).

Omega3s in the smoothie, and a big salad for lunch. Maybe 3 veggie servings. Not terrible.

Caramama, I'm jealous of the locally grown organic fruits and veggies you've been talking about!

Sleep is still a big problem. Went to bed super-early with the baby and couldn't fall asleep for a long time. Then up at 4:30, back asleep 6:45-8. At pediatrician's suggestion, switched fromt the prescription anti-anxiety med to benadryl. No more effective in getting me sleep, but at least I didn't have the vivid nightmares that I was having on the Rx med. Looked over at Kellymom and couldn't find the safe sleep remedies too easily. Guidance?

Worked a little on conclusion to diss this morning, but baby needed major motion throughout his nap to stay asleep (because of yesterday's vaccines probably), so I couldn't stand still and type (or think). So exhausted in every way.

Remembered prenatal and B-Complex, forgot fish oil (bec it's in the fridge, not the cabinet). Maybe when I get home...

Tonight is LLL. I'll finally get some real-world hugs.

welter- here is the link to the page on kellymom that lists approved meds for preg/nursing:
http://www.kellymom.com/health/meds/aap-approved-meds.html
it lists down a way that ambien is safe for bfing (need a rx), and other googled info said that the ingredient in tylenol pm (i think unisom, too)is what is in benadryl, so there's that. i'm glad you'll get some real-life hugs tonight! hang in there!

Welter, there are other anti-anxiety meds out there that won't give you the vivid dreams and/or the insomnia. My husband takes an anti-anxiety Rx and he struggled for a long time to get the right brand and dosage that wasn't messing him up. Not to add one more thing to your plate, but maybe you should talk with your psych who is prescribing this and figure out another alternative....in my mind it falls under the "basic needs" category. If yours aren't met then no one's get met.

For me, I have had 3 days in a row of man-made eating. BTW, that is not part of the plan. I start off with a good breakfast, but come lunchtime I can't find something that makes me want to eat it. Lunch is hard. Dinner is too. I don't have a ton of freedom to do a bunch of creative recipes......DS demands much of my attention even when he's playing independently.

Water consumption has been decent, exercise is not on my radar. I've had a lingering cold that was almost exclusively in my throat and chest and any kind of heavy breathing (sorry DH, none of that either!!!) sends me into a long coughing fit. But I now have a very sexy Demi Moore voice that is sending poor hubby mixed signals.

I motivated myself to want to exercise though by doing some window shopping and trying on some jeans (didn't look good) and some workout clothes (also didn't look good) which made me want to throw on my running shoes and go out for a nice long run.......but for the fact that I don't run anymore and would be miserable by the end of the block. But *wanting* to is a good thing.

Mommy-O

Did BWO earlier today which should help with going to bed earlier goal.

Veg better but not great.

Been taking my vitamin daily. Still using the smaller plate and making half the plate veggies. NEED TO STOP EATING CHOCOLATE.

But I did just buy the T-Tapp. Gads, I hope it works. :)

Can I ask a favor to all the new T-tappers out there: I am really considering buying it, based on what I have read on this site. However, I typically have not been one to reliably work-out at home. Maybe because this one is shorter than your average? If I got results, I think it would be easier. So here it is, can you guys give me an honest lo-down on what you think, is it working, and is it worth the money? Thanks so much!

I am struggling with everything, but yet then I move forward with "good" goals, but not necessarily what I was working on. For example, eating and sleeping and water and exercise have been crap, BUT I did floss and get me some lovin'! So I figure even though I backslid a bit, I am still moving forward. This progress is not linear, I am finding...

Everyone keep up the good work!

For me t-tapp is great b/c I don't have to leave the house and I get a good workout in. I also like it because it's the kind of workout that builds inner core strength and the more you do it the less you have to do it. You kind of build up your muscles from the inside out and then once you hit your target weight/size then you only need to do it 2-3 times per week to maintain. Granted, I'm not there b/c I keep falling off the wagon with it. That's nothing to do with the workout and everything to do with my inherent laziness.

I did the Beginner/Rehab workout for a few months, and liked it, but it was starting to get tedious. Also, I was having some trouble with my shoulder (previous injury) that was getting irritated by the primary back stretch and the arms sequence....so I started doing some yoga substitutions instead. But the workout was getting boring so I bought some more. I bought intermediate tempo, which is just like the B/R workout except faster and with less talking (which gets really old on the B/R workout). I also bought the ladybug workout, which was very challenging.

For me, leaving the house to workout is a pain in the ass. It's difficult/impossible to fit a workout in at the gym during the day. I'm either working or taking care of Alex. Then after he goes to bed (7:30) there is no way in hell I'm putting on workout clothes and hauling my ass to the gym. Weekends are not better b/c my husband works on weekends so I'm basically on duty for both days. So working out at home, using these workouts has worked very well for me because I can easily squeeze in a basic workout plus or a regular full workout during nap time. And if I don't make it during naptime, then it's not too hard to do it after bedtime. I don't even have to put on shoes (or even clothes for that matter) to do it.

I highly recommend it. I think it's a great workout and you do really feel MUCH better when you get into a groove with it and are doing it regularly. Definitely worth the money.

welter -
I'd recommend asking Dr. Jack Newman what he recommends for nursing moms. He's a Toronto-based pediatrician who has done amazing work as a breastfeeding advocate. He also answers his e-mail ridiculously fast (within a day). If you google him, his clinic will come up and you can find his e-mail on the contacts page. He's been incredibly helpful to me when I had to have a few procedures done that I wasn't sure were compatible with BF.

for my goals -
t-tapp - doing ok. Did Total Workout Sunday, BWo+ yesterday, and most of total workout today (got dizzy after hoedowns, so stopped)
sex- checked off on Sunday
cleaning - meh. but the baby has a cold.

onehappycow,
I just bought the TTapp Total Workout (Basic Workout plus Second Disc) and book. The order came with a free copy of TTapp Core. I can't attest to size results yet because I just finished day 10 of bootcamp so my 2 week measuring will be this Sunday. I started using the Instructional discs together (about 20 min) and once I was comfortable with the moves, I moved to the Basic Workout (15 min). It definitely feels like it is working in that I feel tighter in all areas and I feel great when it's done. I am finding it easy to fit into my day because it is so quick, no high cardio or major perspiring and no suffering the next day. I have even done it shortly after dinner without feeling ill from exercising after eating. As per instructions, I can now workout every other day but I am going to do the TTapp Core exercises on the alternating days just so I don't lose momentum or in case I miss a day.

On Sunday I will report on whether my measurements have changed.
